Two Kings

Two Kings” tells the story of an old king and his son forced to flee their city in flames, besieged by the enemy. In this suspended moment, the film explores the transmission of a crown, the filial relationship and the question of power. Between heritage and survival, it is as much a story of learning as a medieval-fantastic fresco.

With a dark and immersive aesthetic, heir to the imagination of the Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones, director Eliot Hervier Blondel has chosen Saint-Michel Abbey as his main setting. The Romanesque cloister, the stone vaults and the baroque abbey church offered a raw and historical atmosphere, enhanced by candlelight to create an intimate and mysterious atmosphere.
